My cleaning lady has quit! She has decided to study english so that she can get work in her field- personal assistant or something- she said she used to use her brain all the time but now here she has to use her hands because her english was not good enough to get the kind of work she used to do. She rang today to break the news. She was so very sorry but she does not have the time to clean any more.
I am pleased for her. But I am very sorry for myself! I was so excited when I found her and she is so very lovely. I will miss her. And I'm not looking forward to the bickering with the children about chores and who has done more work and therefore shouldn't be expected to do this or that, and who has more homework and therefore not enough time.... And anyway don't I want them to do well at school therefore they shouldn't have to do this or that.....
So I guess my search begins again!

oh, that is very sad.
i had to let mine go, because I couldn't afford it any more. Now it look like a tip.
*sigh*
Bickering about chores?
Oh dear... that DOES sound familiar. At my school they seem to expect us to make study schedules and stick to them, and put study above everything else, so at the moment my room looks like a bomb hit it, so I can understand where your kids are coming from...
Anyway, good luck finding a new cleaner!
Yep, a working single mother needs, indeed deserves, a cleaner! In the meantime, hope your kids help you out...
my husband wanted me to let ours go, and our financial advisor, who is cutting things left and right from our budget, scolded him. (thank god we have a female advisor!) she told him i need the one day a week she comes, and to bug off. it's not as if we don't clean up all week anyway...
So much for no cleaner.
I just reinstated mine: I couldn't stand the mess.
Where are you? So bust scrubbing the tiles you aren't blogging?
I dont mind reading about you dabbing bleach onto grout with a cotton bud, if that is what you are up to!
how are the dolls going?
